PhD Studentship in Nursing & Healthcare

University of Surrey -School of Health & Social Care Closing date for applications: 5pm on Monday 2nd September 2013 Interviews will be held on Monday 16th September 2013 University of Surrey is looking for an exceptional and highly motivated individual to take up an exciting opportunity with the CRNME. Applications are invited for a 3 year PhD studentship funded by the Centre for Research in Nursing and Midwifery Education within the Faculty of Health & Medical Sciences at the University of Surrey, through an endowment from the General Nursing Council for England & Wales Trust (http://www2.surrey.ac.uk/fhms/research/centres/crnme/) . Research proposals are invited on the topic of �Education in Nursing� related to one of the following themes: Care of people with long-term conditions Medicines management and patient safety Maternal & women�s health Care of people with cancer Pre-hospital emergency care Further details on the research themes outlined above can be found at:http://www.surrey.ac.uk/fhms/research/healthcarepractice/ Proposals would be particularly welcomed relating to practice in primary care and care home settings. Funding information: The post would be offered for full time registration for PhD. The funding will include the tax-free stipend of �16,000.00, tuition fees and �500 funding for conference attendances per year. Support would be provided for applying for funding for training, conferences and travel through external agencies. Applicant criteria: Applicants must have a BSc with First-class honours or MSc (health related) and health care related experience.
